JOHN MULLER, Director, Business Development, has extensive experience in South East Asia in providing security consulting services to corporate and government clients. Resident in Thailand for 20 years, Mr Muller has for the last 11 years managed one of the largest security companies in Thailand and Cambodia respectively. Mr. Muller holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Washington. He served as an officer with United States Military between 1969 and 1986 and served one tour of duty in the Vietnam War. Mr. Muller was actively involved in the Phoenix Program, and provided VIP Protection for senior special operations staff. He was subsequently employed with the U.S. Department of Defence Air Force where he was responsible for supervising physical security at a sensitive overseas military facility. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Muller was the Indochina Manager for Circle Freight and spent most of that time directing the largest logistics contract for the UNMIC and UNTAC missions in Cambodia. At the time, the UNTAC mission was considered the UN’s largest and first successful field mission. Later, he provided security for all UN agencies. Mr. Muller has also provided studies in Afghanistan for the United Nations. In 2003, he trained Iraqi Police employed by Ministry of Power to be IBA certified bodyguards. Mr. Muller actively participates in various regional meetings, and has given numerous speeches and articles on security issues. He has received numerous honors and awards in Thailand and Cambodia. He is Chairman of the Security Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Thailand and the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) of Thailand respectively, and a Member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and Deputy Director General of the International Bodyguard Association (IBA). He is also an Honorary Member of the Royal Thai Special Forces and a member of the US Special Forces Association. |
